Barnett is a 5-10, 165 lb senior right handed pitcher from Tennessee. He's a high energy pitcher who works fast, goes right after hitters and throws a lot of strikes. Barnett has a simple, balanced delivery and a nice arm action that help his pitching style. His fastball topped out at 81 mph and he gets nice running action on the pitch when he throws it as a 2-seamer. Barnett's slider is his best pitch and he'll vary the velocity and break on the pitch between what's more of a cutter and something close to a big breaking slurve. Barnett knows how to change speeds and locations and get hitters guessing. He should be very effective in the right situations. Barnett is also a good student.
