Erik Martinez is a 2014 RHP with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from West Covina, CA who attends South Hills HS. Medium athletic build, some developing present strength. Drop and drive delivery mechanics, drifts out early, long two-piece arm action, shows ball in back, 3/4's arm slot, arm is fast and loose coming through. Mid to upper 80's fastball, good cutting action at times. Slurve type breaking ball with sweeping shape and fair spin, maintains arm speed well on change up. Arm works very well and there is more velocity in there with lower half delivery adjustments. Good student.
