Garrett Hodges is a 2016 OF/IF with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Guyton, GA who attends South Effingham HS. Medium athletic build, some present strength with more to come. 7.07 runner, moves well in the outfield, fields deep, gets on top of the ball well, shows good arm strength from full, extended arm action. Left handed hitter, slightly open stance with high hands set. Aggressive weight shift into contact, can drift occasionally and get off balance, shows solid bat speed with longer path to ball. Line drive plane, can dip backside occasionally, shows developing power. Good student, verbal commitment to Kennesaw State University.
