2003 Northeast Top Prospect Showcase
Schult is an "04" LHP who projects nicely. At 6'1/170 he is lean with room for much more added strength. Right now he's more of a location guy, who knows how to pitch. He threw low 80s in Wareham with some running action. He throws a very slow breaking ball around 60 mph. It seems to work, but he might want a breaker with more velocity down the road. He also features a nice fading change up. Good command of everything he throws. He has excellent mechanics and clean arm action. He throws out of a high 3/4 release. This kid is very close to being real good. His best days are ahead of him. Steve is an excellent student.
