Matthew Collins is a 2014 OF with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from Houston, TX who attends Memorial HS. Athletic build with some present strength and more to come. Very good runner, 6.46 in the 60, good first step on defense and on the bases. Arm strength still developing, long and loose and makes accurate throws. Right handed hitter, big leg raise/kick trigger, long stride, all linear and doesn't get much hip use in swing, line drive swing plane from a deep load, handles the barrel well, has the strength and quick twitch to develop more bat speed with adjustments. Interesting athlete with a plus tool and the ability to develop in every area. Excellent student.
