Hansen Butler is a 2014 RHP/SS with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from High Point, NC who attends High Point Central. Large, athletic frame with a strong, mature frame. Well built. Right handed pitcher who throws from an over the top arm slot with a long, quick arm action. Stays composed on mound and works from a balanced, steady tempo'd delivery. Uses lower half well to push off and get down the mound. Repeats mechanics well. Fastball topped at 89 mph and sat 85-88 mph, with ability to spot to both sides of the plate. Has a nice feel for 12/6 curveball with sharp, late break and good depth. Mixes both pitches well and misses bats. Named to Top Prospect List. Outstanding student, verbal commitment to North Carolina.
