Michael Rodgers is a 2014 RHP with a 6-3 210 lb. frame from Houston, TX who attends St Thomas HS. Tall broad shouldered athletic build, good present strength. High energy delivery, cross body release, high 3/4's arm slot, long arm action in back with some wrap, arm is fast coming through, tends to cut off out front. Fastball to 89 mph, very consistent cutting action to all parts of the plate. Slurve type breaking ball with hard spin and bite, could develop into a hard slider or deeper true curveball with adjustments, rare change up. Has a very live arm and high ceiling potential if he can make delivery adjustments and calm things down. Good student, verbal commitment to Rice.
