2004 Western Underclass Showcase
Sean is a junior corner infielder from Southern California with very good present strength and the frame to handle more. He listed himself as a primary pitcher but did not throw at this showcase. We were impressed with Sean's bat, though. He hits from a still approach and generates his bat speed with pure strength. He showed some raw power and the ball jumped off his bat well. Better rhythm into the ball will make some of Sean's hits go a long way in the future. Sean showed good defensive skills in the infield. He's better suited to first base, especially if he gets stronger, but is light on his feet for a big kid and showed a strong, accurate arm across the infield. Sean is a good student.
