Mijon Cummings is a 2014 3B/OF with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from Lutz, FL who attends Steinbrenner HS. Strong barrel chested build, physically mature. 6.70 runner, deceptively athletic for his size, very good defensive actions, charges the ball very well, gets the right hops consistently, plus instincts, soft hands at the ball, accurate throws, throws have carry. Right handed hitter, quick hands with good bat speed, has strength at contact, swings hard and can lift the ball when pulled, tends to get hands started late against good velocity, hitting tools to continue to develop. Son of former MLB outfielder Midre Cummings. Good student.
