Marlan Chatman is a 2013 MIF with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Dickinson, TX who attends Dickinson HS. Lean slender build, prototypical MIF body. Right handed hitter, exaggerated inside out hitter, never gets any separation with hands, swings hard and aggressively and creates raw bat speed, drives ball well when he has to extend his hands outside, has hitting tools that could blossom with swing adjustments. 7.47 runner, second base tools defensively, good footwork and hands, tends to wait back on ball, arm strength still developing.
