Reilly is a 6-0 left handed junior pitcher from Florida. He has a medium build with high hips and long legs. Reilly throws from a low ¾’s slinging arm action and gets some extension out front. He did a very good job of spotting his 73-76 mph fastball around the strike zone and using it with purpose. Reilly’s curveball was 63-64 mph and a little flat and short due to his release point but he also showed the ability to paint with this pitch. He didn’t throw a change up. Reilly also showed us some potential as a hitter/position player. He runs very well (7.07/4.31) and could easily play any of the outfield positions in addition to his normal position, first base. Reilly is a switch hitter who is much better from his right side. He generates some bat speed and has a smooth swing that projects well as he adds strength. From the left side Reilly has less bat speed and not quite as good balance. Reilly is a good student off the field.
