Brandon Elmy is a 2014 OF/1B/RHP with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from Nokomis, FL who attends Venice HS. Strong well proportioned build with room to get stronger. Right handed hitter, spread stance with no shift towards contact, upper body swing, has strength to hit and flashes power potential, some lift out front, will have to learn to use lower half at the next level. 7.12 runner, accurate out field throws, some arm strength and carry, tends to drop elbow on throws. Also pitched, drop and drive delivery mechanics, long arm action in back, 3/4's arm slot. Mid 80's fastball topped out at 86 mph, slurve type breaking ball with good sweeping depth. Good all around athlete who can improve with adjustments. Excellent student, verbal commitment to Furman.
