Robert Hubbard is a 2007 RHP/OF with a 6'3'', 185 lb. frame from Palm City FL, who attends Martin County HS. He has a slender frame and some athletic strength that projects well. Hubbard throws from standard 3/4's release point with a long arm action. He throws across his body on release and doesn't repeat his delivery or release point very consistently. Hubbard's fastball has good velocity at 83-85 mph with some running action and he touched 87 mph a few times. He shows very good arm speed at times. His best off speed pitch was a 72 mph change up that had good deception. Hubbard's curveball is still developing and will improve with his mechanics. Because of his inconsistent mechanics, Hubbard's command is not where he'll need it to be. Hubbard also plays some outfield and is a good runner at 7.10. He shows some potential with the bat and takes a full, aggressive swing that produces power when he stays back and on the ball. Hubbard is also an excellent student.
