Tommy Edman is a 2013 SS/RHP with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from San Diego, CA who attends LaJolla Country Day HS. Smaller build, has some wiry strength. Very sound fundamental player. Quick actions at second base, excellent footwork, quick release, soft hands, can turn the double play, enough arm strength. Short right handed swing, barrel is quick into the zone, shows some bat speed and even some occasional lift, uses front side and lower half well in letting his hands work. Really good baseball player, just needs more strength to become a better prospect. Outstanding student with Ivy League type ambitions.
