Eric Haase is a 2011 C/3B with a 5-11 190 lb. frame from Westland, MI who attends Divine Child. Really stood out! Solid athletic build with present strength. Excellent tools, polished for a HS prospect from a cold weather state. Very strong arm behind the plate, good carry on throws. Soft hands receiving, clean exchange, accurate throws when he doesn't rush, very high level catching tools. Impressive hitting tools with plus bat speed and good power, ball jumps off his bat. Hit several towering home runs during BP, made good adjustments from pitch to pitch against good pitching in games, can make a few small tweaks to become an even better hitter. If he played in an area that were more heavily scouted he would likely be getting first round consideration. Very good student, committed to Ohio State.
