Zachary Gross is a 2011 C/3B with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from Franklin Lakes, NJ who attends Don Bosco Prep. Gross has a solid athletic, build. He is a good defensive catcher. He has a good setup behind the plate, is a good receiver, has a good transfer and release and gains ground on his throws. He also has a good approach at the plate with a short swing and has some pop in his bat. His tools carried over into games as he squared balls up and hit them hard. He is a good student.
