Joe Munoz is a 2012 SS/3B, RHP with a 6-3 185 lb. frame from Hacienda Heights, CA who attends Los Altos HS. Lean wiry athletic build, loose actions, room to get stronger. Smooth defensively, quick release and exchange, plenty of arm strength, gets the easy hops, plays 2B and SS equally well, charges very well, natural defensive balance and actions. Right handed hitter, low hand set, good balance, patient approach, good hitting rhythm, quick short swing, line drive plane, generates bat speed, handles the barrel well, squares it up, gap to gap power. Didn't pitch but was up to 89 mph in early June. Very good all around talent. Good student, verbal commitment to San Diego State.
