Matt Campbell is a 2012 MIF with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Chesapeake, VA who attends Hickory HS. Medium build, slender MIF's build, room to get stronger. 6.98 runner, long gliding infield actions, soft hands and good exchange, works through the ball well, throws carry. Right handed hitter, spread stance with early stride, good quick hands to the ball, some wiry strength, good extension through contact, sees the ball well, stays balanced, flashes occasional lift, nice hitting tools that will improve with more strength. Projectable player. Good student, verbal commitment to North Carolina.
