Jim Pollack is a 2005 catcher/utility player from Homer, Alaska with a good strong build that shows lots of physical strength at 6 ft. 3 216 pounds. He hits from an open stance with a long swing, and a slight wrap. He has a strong upper body and generates very good bat speed. He makes solid hard contact and showed big time power potential. He showed good athleticism and ran a 7.14 in the 60, and he has good instincts on the bases. Defensively, he moves well side to side and showed good blocking skills. He has a quick arm that shows good strength at 79 mph with accuracy and carry. He poped a 1.99, which could easily be improved with quicker feet. He has a strong projectable body, and he will be a top catching prospect at the next level. Jim is from Alaska but playing at North Broward Prep in Florida. He is a good student.
