Jens Hagen is a 2006 SS/3B/P from Windsor HS in California with a 6'2", 185 lb. frame. Hagen has a Major League body with athleticism. He is a solid runner with good game speed. Defensively he showed good range at both shortstop and third base with solid arm strength (81 mph), and showed good footwork and nice hands. The right handed hitter hits from an open stance with very good bat speed. He sometimes stays open with his stance in his swing and has a tough time covering the outer third of the plate, but he has the athleticism and hands to make the adjustment. Hagen is a line drive hitter with strength in his swing and some present raw power when he stays leveraged in his swing. Hagen has the potential to be a run producer at the next level as a shortstop or third baseman. He should be followed closely, and is a good student as well.
