Maximus McClellan is a 2024 RHP with a 6-7 210 lb. frame from Avon Lake, OH who attends St. Edward. Extra big and tall build with lots of athleticism. Has a fluid delivery with a full hands over head start and a long and loose on line arm take away, moves down the mound well and gets on top of the ball well at release. Fastball worked up to 92 mph with up to 20" of vertical life at times, tons of projection on his fastball velocity. Threw both a slider and a curveball, slider was the better present pitch with sharpness and big sweeping depth, curveball has downer shape. Projects in all areas and has a feel to pitch already, potential high ceiling talent. Good student.
