James Hanshaw is a 2026 C/RHP/IF with a 5-6 140 lb. frame from Indian Trail, NC who attends Metrolina Christian Academy. Medium frame with leaner build and some athleticism to go with plenty of time for more development. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.44 seconds. Primary position C, sitting in nice and deep with game like mechanics. Lets the ball get to him and uses solid midline transfer to prep for throwing. Will gain more ground with refinement of footwork and uses compact arm action on feeds. Fairly accurate one-hop throws with velocity up to 61 mph and pop-time best 2.31 seconds. RHH starting even and loading into his back leg pre-pitch to load. Lower and flat handset with rigid hand load to short swing and some whip of the barrel to impact. Emerging power, with a lot of time for future development. Outstanding student.
