Ty Henkel is a 2027 OF/RHP/3B with a 5-8 138 lb. frame from Dallas, TX who attends Pearce. Medium athletic build with some present strength and plenty more to come. 7.43 runner in the sixty, speed played in the games on the bases and on defense and highlighted his overall athleticism. Plays both infield and outfield, arm works well and speed gives him good range, still developing his glove fundamentals and footwork through the ball. Right handed hitter, starts from a deep hand load, loads his weight to his back side and tends to stay there, uphill swing plane with some lift when he squares it up, swings hard and has some bat speed, flashed gap power, projects to keep improving with additional strength and some swing adjustments. Also pitched, works from the stretch with compact arm action, falls off towards first base consistently and this impacts his command. Fastball topped out at 68 mph to go with a curveball. Named to the 13U/14U Lone Star Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
