Vaughn Maginn is a 2025 C with a 6-3 212 lb. frame from Brights Grove, ON. Large frame with broad shoulders and present strength proportioned throughout, some additional room to fill moving forward. Ran a 7.90 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, slight turn at start behind plate during drills, receives the ball out front, will continue to implement and refine footwork in actions coming out of crouch, shows accuracy in arm with carry down to second base, quick transfer with a tighter release on throws. Left-handed hitter, even base at start, utilizes a simple shift moving into contact and incorporates physical strength well. Swings with intent and turns the barrel well through the zone; shows present bat speed and remains compact through the zone while repeating swing. Found the barrel and shows strength when squared up.
