John McCovey is a 2025 1B/3B, OF with a 5-10 140 lb. frame from Los Angeles, CA who attends St. John Bosco. Physical build with present strength in the frame that can develop at the next level. Ran a 7.96 in the 60-yard dash. First baseman, good direction and plan in drills. Steady arm action with good turns and throws on the run. Looks comfortable at the position. Right-handed hitter, wide setup and stride into contact. Higher hand set. Developing feel for the barrel with promising strength to both gaps. High finish in the path with some upper body strength. Good student.
