Aniel Del Orbe is a 2023 OF with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from New York, NY who attends Facing History School (The). Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and present physical strength proportioned well throughout frame. Strong runner, posted an event best 6.82 in the 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, shorter steps moving towards the ball, fields it out front and works into a deeper arm action through the backside; longer release and can continue to incorporate additional lower half into actions, shows carry when on top of throws working from a higher release point. Left-handed hitter, begins with an open stance and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; subtle shift in lower half, rotational swing. Fast hands with strength in them, ball jumps hard off of the barrel when extended out front and will continue to unlock more with incorporation of lower half; shows easy carry off of the barrel out to the right-center field gap. Very good student.
