2007 Holiday Open Showcase
Danny Betancourt is a 2007 C/3B that attends Hialeah Miami Lakes HS and resides in Miami Lakes, FL with a 5'8", 180 lb. frame. Danny has a strong athletic build and really swung the bat well during the games. At the plate Danny has good strength and bat speed in his swing. He has an aggressive approach and is able to center the ball. Danny tends to wrap his bat some and it will help him if he gets ready to hit a little bit earlier. Behind the plate Danny has good footwork and a solid release. His arm strength is a little limited right now and he will need to make sure he stays online in his mechanics. Danny is a player that will attract attention from many smaller colleges.
