Alex Walker is a 2006 LHP from Douglas Co. High School in Douglasville, GA, with a 5'10'', 175 lb. frame. Walker has a lean and athletic build with room to fill out. On the mound Walker throws from a high 3/4 slot that produces 75-77 mph fastballs with good cutting action. Walker's best attributes on the mound are his quality off-speed pitches. He shows a solid 1 to 7 curveball with tight spin, and a deceptive changeup with good late life. With a better use of his lower half, and being looser in general on the mound there is no reason that Alex could not see a noticeable jump in velocity, and much more consistent command. He already has the quality-off speed pitches needed to play at the next level.
