Alex Furlong is a 2027 LHP/OF with a 6-4 170 lb. frame from Cumming, GA who attends South Forsyth. Alex Ran a 7.90 Sixty Yard Dash. Primary Let handed pitcher with long slender frame with plenty of projection and room for additional strength. Working with a short drop step into a hip height leg lift while gaining some ground down the slope. There was plenty of deception within the operation hiding the ball upon release at a mid 3/4s arm slot. The fastball showed some run through the zone as it peaked at 75mph. Mixing in a 12-6 shaped breaking ball with some depth that topped at 64mph. Tunneling both pitches well out of the hand. Secondary outfielder staying behind the ball fielding it cleanly to the side. Longer 3/4s arm stroke on the throws some accuracy to bases. Left handed hitter with a wider set base with a slight toe tap trigger. The barrel starts set on the shoulder as it rotates into slot at load. The swing is long through the zone with some tilt to the bat head. Alex is an excellent student in the classroom.
