Adrian Hernandez is a 2024 RHP/1B, OF with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from Whittier, CA who attends California. The lengthy frame pitcher primary really impressed with 3 legit plus pitches. Loose arm action and high effort delivering from a three quarters slot. High leg kick, hinging at the hip and driving hard off the rubber. Fastball (82-85) showed plenty of late life through the zone at 2100 rpms. The command was exceptional with the fastball to set up two plus offspeed offerings with a curveball (74-76) that spun just a tick above 2450 and showed slurvy type break, as well as a developed changeup (76-79) that was thrown comfortably to right handed hitters with sharp late break, not a prototypical spin killing change up at 1990 rpm. The pitchability of the off-speed really stuck out constantly, keeping opposing hitters guessing. A lot to like here with the body and the serious swing and miss stuff. Special arm with still plenty of room to fill. Defensively, charges the ball hard in the outfield, with ability to make the routine plate with limited range. Throws produced decent carry with long loose arm action. He swings it with a wide base and toe tap timing mechanism, theres some unnecessary motion in the swing that could be trimmed to produce a better and more consistent feel for the barrel. Top Prospect Team. Exceptional student.
