Jackson Melton is a 2026 OF/LHP with a 5-9 145 lb. frame from Lewisville, NC who attends West Forsyth. Smaller, athletic build with tons of room to add strength and a good amount of time to. 7.48 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder, approaches the ball under control, fields the ball cleanly with one hand to the side, still developing arm strength but was accurate around the bag. Solid foundation and feel for the outfield. Left-handed hitter with high hands and a high back elbow. Gets the swing started with a knee lift trigger, young bat speed, still developing true feel for the barrel. Had some pull-side contact toward the end of the round. Struggled to get consistent rhythm with the leg lift. Should get better as he simplifies the swing. Secondary left-handed pitcher, starts on the third base side of the rubber, higher leg lift to balance, deliberate arm swing in the back, mechanically sound operation. Works down the mound to a high three-quarters release, fastball got up to 64 mph (1450 RPM) and spun a rolling breaking ball in the low-50s (1667 RPM).
