Christian Fontaine is a 2026 OF/LHP with a 5-9 130 lb. frame from Maimi, FL who attends Miami Southridge. A medium frame and a compact build. A lean frame. Ran a 7.50 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder who moved with intent and fields it off the front foot. Gets the throws on target, coming out at 74 mph. Some uphill action on the throws. Also worked out as a first baseman with a two-hand smother. Good flight on throws, with throws at 75 mph coming out smoothly. Had some sense for the bag with fluid movements around the bag. A left-handed hitter with high-set hands, using a slight leg lift trigger as he works through contact. Small stride forward with a direct path. Worked all over the field during his round of BP. Picked up 3 hits during the in-game portion of the event. Took to the mound as a left-handed pitcher with deliberate actions working into his delivery with a rocker step into a leg lift around the belt. Mixed in some hesitation, aiming to create a deceptive look and mess with timing. The fastball has a ton of arm-side run, throwing from a three-quarters arm slot. The heater worked up to 78 mph while holding 74-77 mph and spinning up to 2.076 RPMs. Also, occasionally showed a curveball, has showed 2-7 shape in the mid-60s with 2,205 RPMs. His changeup was in the mid-60s, killing spin down to 1543 RPMs. It was a very effective pitch against right-handed hitters. He was efficient in his first inning of work. Punched out 4 hitters over 1 2/3 innings of work. Great student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
