Sink has a live, athletic body that combines speed and quickness with deceptive strength. He doesn’t always show his speed in the 60 but is consistently around 4.2 down the line from the right side and is a factor with his speed on the bases. Sink also has an all out playing style that maximizes his speed. Sinks deceptive strength shows itself in his swing and approach. He hits the ball solidly to the middle of the field but every once in a while will hit a bolt up the gaps.
Defensively, Sink is much better suited to second base or the outfield than shortstop. His arm strength is playable at those positions. Sink’s quick feet and athletic ability enable him to get to more than his share of ground balls. This kid is a player and will contribute in a big way to a top 25 type college. Alex is also a top level student.
