2007 Holiday Open Showcase
Michael Jordan is a 2007 MIF/RHP that attends Miami Norland HS and resides in Miami, FL with a 5'4", 115 lb. frame. Michael has an athletic build and showed a very solid all-around game at the showcase. At the plate Michael has a very aggressive approach with good hand quickness. Michael has good raw tools at the plate, but just lacks the strength to drive the ball at this time. In the field Michael is very solid and can play many different positions. He has soft hands with good balance and a very quick release. Michael has very good arm strength for his age and covers alot of ground in the field. Defensively Michael is a very polished fielder. On the mound Michael looks like a smaller version of Tom Gordon. He throws from a high 3/4 arm slot with a long and quick arm action. Michael features a very good 12 to 6 CB with tight spin. He likes to throw the pitch a lot and is able to locate it very well. He competes very well on the mound and will be a strong high school pitcher. Pound for pound Michael is a very good player and could attract the attention of many small to mid-level college programs.
