Lucas Roberts is a 2023 RHP/1B with a 6-2 220 lb. frame from Toronto, ON who attends Silverthorn Collegiate HP Program. Big and strong physical build, pretty mature physically. Full hands over head delivery with a big rocker step to start, deep on line arm takeaway in back, gets his front side turned and coiled heading down the mound but gets directional well out front, 3/4's arm slot, repeats his mechanics well. Mid-80's fastball, topped out at 87 mph early, gets some ride on his fastball up in the zone. Power slider was a solid second pitch with late darting action at times, threw both pitches for strikes and challenged hitters. Will need to develop a change up for the next level. Good student. Named to the Sunshine East Showcase Top Prospect List.
