Lucas Rosenberg is a 2027 LHP/OF with a 5-8 150 lb. frame from Sherman Oaks, CA. Features an average build with some strength present. Ran an 8.37 60-yard dash. Showcased patient approach during outfield workouts. Caught the routine ball well. Maintaining body momentum would lead to a smoother transition into throws. Uses a long arm swing into an overhead slot. Flashed decent accuracy throughout workouts. Left-handed hitter. Utilizes an open stance with a narrow base setup and upright posture. Slight uppercut path creates natural loft within the swing. The approach stays through the middle of the field frequently. Flashed some feel for the barrel. Adding strength to the frame would help generate more power. Threw on the mound as well. Left-handed pitcher. Utilizes a semi-windup delivery with drop and drive mechanics. There is significant sink onto the back half. Uses a long arm action out of a high 3/4 slot. Throws with a fair amount of effort. The fastball sat 70-71 mph with slight armside run. Offering worked best to the armside of the plate. Paired with a slider at 60-63 mph with flashes of horizontal break. Still refining command of the offering. Also showed a changeup at 67-69 mph. Maintains arm speed well. Still developing consistency of the pitch. Excellent student.
