Luke Smiley is a 2026 LHP/1B, OF with a 5-9 145 lb. frame from Signal Mountain, TN who attends Signal Mountain. Smaller, lean build with ample room to add strength. A primary pitcher that has a semi-windup delivery. Tall and fall mechanics. Hunches over the glove with slight crossfire landing. Short arm action out of a 3/4 slot. Will drop down his arm slot lower at times. Could benefit from having more conviction and intent with his offerings. Produced some swing and misses. Offensively starts with a slightly open, low hands setup. Employed a pull approach in his BP round and topped multiple balls. Current gap power. Defensively he is fundamentally sound and demonstrated that he could make the required plays. Used proper foot/glove mechanics on his approach and was accurate turning the double play. Clocked a 7.8 60-yard dash.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
