Ben Beland is a 2023 OF/3B with a 6-2 195 lb. frame from Fort Smith, AR who attends Southside. He ran a 7.19 second sixty. A primary outfielder with a strong athletic build. In the outfield he works aggressive to the baseball fielding it on the side and transferring cleanly into a long arm action with a shuffle into the throws. On the infield he takes short choppy steps to the ball and receiving it with good glove presentation out front working into a long release with a full arm action displaying developing arm strength. Right-handed hitter, uses longer stride to trigger the swing from an even base with good feel for the barrel creating drive from he ground up in the lower half. Excellent student.
