2022 Western Pennsylvania Indoor Showcase (Saturday)
Stephen Rodgers is a 2023 2B with a 5-9 175 lb. frame from North Huntingdon, PA who attends Norwin. Rodgers works out of a compact build with additional room to develop and fill out. Working exclusively from the IF, he flashed solid lead up footwork with a shorter arm action across the diamond. He displayed the ability to change slots up the middle and should see arm strength increase in the future. Expect glove work to continue refining in the future. Offensively, Rodgers started from a wide base with hover in the leg trigger to produce consistent middle of the field contact. He showcased good hand speed through the zone and kept the barrel controlled to generate consistent line drives. Ran a 6.83 sixty yard dash. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
