Carlos Marquez is a 2027 RHP/1B/OF with a 5-8 108 lb. frame from Parsippany, NJ who attends Parsippany Hills. Long and very lean build. Works from the stretch with a long arm takeaway in back, lands closed out front, high 3/4's arm slot with some energy at release. Fastball worked in the low 60's and topped out at 64 mph, gets some cutting life at times coming across the ball at release. Also threw a soft curveball, threw strikes with both pitches and challenged hitters. Velocity and arm speed will continue to improve as he gets stronger. 9.07 runner in the sixty. Worked out in the outfield and at first base on defense. Right handed hitter, hits from a straight stance with a high hand load, limited lower half shift or use,rotational upper body swing.
