Danny Johnson is a 2024 RHP/3B with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Chicago, IL who attends St. Ignatius College Prep. Large frame with long, projectable build; ran 60 yard dash in 8.43 seconds. Primary righthanded pitcher, shorter arm stroke through the back with stab at apex, low effort delivery with slight crossfire through release, fastball worked 73-76 mph with slight life, showed feel for tilting slider with late bite. Hits from even stance with short stride into swing, high back elbow in set, rotational swing with front hip leak, pull-side approach with ability to lift, has power in that direction, exit velocity recorded up to 81 mph. Worked out in the infield, developing feel for footwork and hand actions, clocked up to 72 mph on throws across. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
