Matthew Ferrara is a 2025 SS/2B, OF with a 5-9 150 lb. frame from Toms River, NJ who attends Toms River East. Recorded a 7.65 second sixty-yard dash time. Medium, slender frame with a high waist and plenty of room to fill out. Primary infielder with athletic actions throughout the fielding process, soft hands and some lateral range to either side. Displayed clean funnel out in front, works downhill through the baseball and showed ability to deliver accurate throws across the diamond. Recorded arm strength up to 67 mph across the diamond. Right-handed hitter that hits from an open stance with a tight hand set, high back elbow and hover trigger. Incorporates rotational lower half mechanics and good weight shift into contact. Line drive approach with compact, present bat speed and some feel for the barrel. Best impact was to the middle and opposite field. Will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments, minor refinements of defensive tools and additional strength.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
