Riley Iffrig is a 2023 1B/LHP, OF with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from Edwardsville, IL who attends Edwardsville. Recorded a 7.22 second 60 yard dash time. Large frame with present strength, physically advanced for his age. Primary first baseman, solid glove work, can drop slot, made the plays and had a clean round. Secondary left-handed pitcher, gets offline through the back with a curled wrap, creates good angles to the plate from an extended three-quarters slot. Some arm side life to the fastball, topped out at 85 mph and stayed around the zone, showed a slider at 73 mph. Easy to see this projecting well on the mound. Impressed with the bat in his hand, right-handed hitter with a low hand set and leg lift trigger. Produced solid contact up the middle and showed the ability to elevate. Looks to do damage, ball comes off hard, great round of BP and also looked good in the games. High intent swinger that can take big hacks but still shorten up and get a job done. Excellent student. Named to the 2021 National Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.
