Demetrius deRamus is a 2019 OF/SS, RHP with a 5-8 142 lb. frame from Philadelphia, PA who attends William Penn Charter. Medium frame with lean, athletic build and good projection remaining. Posted a 7.22 seconds 60 yard dash time. Hits with low hand set, barrel tip forward in load, big leg lift trigger, slight downhill swing plane, opposite-field approach to hitting, shows ability to hit line drives to all fields with some authority, some barrel control, solid overall bat to ball skills. Moves well to the ball with good footwork in the IF, fields clean and gets rid of the ball quickly, throws to 1B topped at 67 MPH. Attacks the ball well in the OF and works through it, aggressive when fielding, releases straight over the top with good accuracy, OF velocity topped at 73 MPH. Pitched as well, showing short and tight arm action, balanced leg lift delivery, lands online to plate, shorter stride, FB worked 68-71 with slight cutting action, showed CB with solid movement, projects well. Good student.
