Preston Gunnell is a 2021 3B/SS with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Canton, GA who attends Woodstock. Medium frame with lean, projectable build; ran 60 yard dash in 6.62 seconds. Hits from even-based stance with high hands and back elbow, leg lift trigger, hands take inside path through zone, shorter to ball with high-contact approach, shows ability to work to all fields, comfortable going the other way, projects well for power with strength gains. Worked out in the infield, rangy actions with obvious twitch and athleticism, controls body well and stays balanced throughout, gets behind the ball and comes through it, showed ability to throw accurately from different arm slots, clocked up to 85 mph on throws across. Very good student.
