Tysen Benford is a 2022 1B/3B with a 6-4 250 lb. frame from Acworth, GA who attends North Paulding. Extra-Large frame with an already filling out build. Strength showing throughout the body and is advanced physically. Ran a 7.86 second sixty yard dash. Primary First Baseman, sitting back on the baseball as he does a good job gathering out front. Confident with the leather as he scoops it up before shuffling into throws. Accurate to the bag as he threw it 86 mph. Secondary Third Baseman, works into the baseball with urgency as he fields it with similar actions at the other corner infield spot. Running into transfers as he takes extra steps. Threw it 87 mph during drills. Secondary Right-Handed Pitcher, working with a small side-step while coiling up at the top. Medium arm circle in the back before releasing from a high three-quarter slot. Worked the fastball to both sides of the dish as he ran it up to 86 mph. Mixed in a breaking ball with 11-to-5 movements and a diving changeup. Mixed pitches and didn't find a single barrel during his outing. Right-Handed Hitter, starting balanced with lower hands. Knee to knee load with a toe tap before he strides. Looks to get extended and does so with consistency. Pull-side power showing as that was his approach. Showcased that power in game as he homered to the pull-side. Great Student. Named to National Underclass Main Event Top Prospect List.
