James Notary is a 2017 RHP with a 6-3 205 lb. frame from Westminster, CO who attends Broomfield HS. Solid athletic build with good present strength and room for more. Long extended arm action, deep in back, over the top arm slot with some upper body lean to get his arm through, gets big downhill angle to the plate when he's down in the zone. Primary fastball pitcher, worked in the 85-88 mph range, mostly straight. Occasional soft curveball from a lower arm slow, sweeping shape as he tends to get on the side of it. Did not see a change up. Works very quickly and looks to challenge hitters. Big challenge will be establishing consistent vertical command given his arm action and arm slot and establishing a consistent secondary pitch. Outstanding student.
