Connor Smith is a 2022 RHP/OF with a 6-2 213 lb. frame from McKnight, PA who attends North Allegheny. Recorded a 7.57-second 60-yard dash time. Large, physical build with present well-proportioned strength throughout. Primary right-handed pitcher, worked exclusively from the stretch during his outing. Simple drop and drive lower half mechanics, generating a lot of power from his strong lower half. Whippy arm action from a lower 3/4 slot. Late life on his fastball, working it in the low-80's as he topped 83 mph with more in the tank. Two strong secondary offerings showcasing present swing-and-miss stuff as he punched out 6 batters during his outing. Showed feel for a change-up flashed fading action, developing feel for breaking ball's release point. Right-handed hitter, even stance with a high-hand set. Leg-lift-trigger, remaining on time with a consistent bat path. Produced well-struck line drives through the gaps, present quickness to his hands with tons of power potential. Excellent student.
