Nick Gilpin is a 2025 SS/RHP/IF with a 5-10 130 lb. frame from Nyack, NY who attends Nyack. Slender young build with lots of physical projection remaining. 7.70 runner in the sixty. Showed good young athleticism in the infield on defense, works through the ball with good balance and direction, fielded the ball cleanly with a smooth transition into throwing, under control actions that will enable him to keep improving. Right handed hitter, hits from a slightly open stance with good timing. Just like defensively, he hits under control with lots of consistency and solid fundamentals, line drive swing with contact to all fields, bat speed will continue to improve as he gets more physically mature. Also pitched, works from a full wind up with a high 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 76 mph with some arm side running life when he got extended out front and pitched downhill. Curveball was his best pitch with tight spin and break and good depth, commanded his curveball very well. Has some potential on the mound as a two way prospect. Excellent student.
