2021 Preseason HS Prospect Showcase
Dylan Richardson is a 2023 RHP/2B with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Sumter, SC who attends Hammond. Strong athletic build. Fast paced delivery on the mound with very good young arm speed, uses his lower half well to drive his delivery, short arm stroke in back, showed the ability to vary the timing in his delivery while maintaining the ability to throw strikes. Mid-80's fastball, topped out at 88 mph, has some heavy sinking action down in the zone and some carry up in the zone. Hitters didn't recognize his hard breaking ball and took some bad hacks at it, developing feel for a change up as well. 7.34 runner in the sixty. Showed his athleticism in the field on defense very well, made outstanding game plays at both second base and in right field, arm strength obvious in the field. Right handed hitter, hits from an open stance with an upper body rotational swing, moves into contact well and has some lift in his swing. Very good athlete with a strong arm who is going to keep improving. Excellent student. Named to the Preseason HS Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
